One Bedford Falling Glass Class Action
As a result of several incidents of falling glass, Charney Lawyers and Sutts, Strosberg LLP have commenced a class action lawsuit on behalf of all owners, landlords, and tenants of units in the One Bedford condominium located at One Bedford Road in Toronto, Ontario.
This action has been certified by the court to proceed as a class action.
On August 13, 2011, a pane of balcony glass shattered and pieces of glass fell from the building onto the street below. Police closed down Bedford Road between Prince Arthur and Bloor for approximately 3 hours. On August 16, 2011, 3 days later, another pane shattered and pieces of glass again rained down onto the street below.
The balconies have been closed off by building management until new balcony glass is installed.
