Register for MacKenzie Financial Class Action

By registering, Charney Lawyers will update you on developments in the class action and will notify you if the matter settles. The information collected about potential class members on this system will assist counsel in prosecuting the class action and assessing what damages were suffered by the class as a whole. There are no fees to register.

Were you notified by MacKenzie and/or your investment advisor that your information may have been compromised in the breach?

Was your Social Insurance Number compromised?

Have you noticed any unauthorized usage of your personal information, such as unauthorized transactions involving your investment accounts, improper use of your social insurance number to apply for a financial product, or increased phishing emails?

Do you believe that the unauthorized usage(s) are related to the MacKenzie privacy breach?

Have you applied for the free credit monitoring with TransUnion?

Have you applied for credit monitoring in addition to any free credit monitoring offered to you?

Do you believe that you have sustained any financial loss as a result of the MacKenzie privacy breach?

We understand that MacKenzie retained investor information long after some investors cancelled their investments. Did you continue to have investments with MacKenzie at the time of the breach, in or about February 2023?

Have you spent any time doing any of the following in responding to the MacKenzie privacy breach:

a. Applying for credit monitoring services and/or identity protection services?

b. Monitoring credit reports issued by credit reporting services?

c. Placing credit flag/fraud alerts with credit reporting companies?

d. Prolonged credit transactions due to the credit flags?

e. Changing passwords?

f. Notifying financial institutions?

g. Applying for a new Social Insurance Number from Service Canada?
